Article-processing charges

Open access publishing is not without costs. Journal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications therefore levies an article-processing charge of £1,060/US$1,660/€1,350 for each article accepted for publication. If the corresponding author's institution is a Member, the cost of the article-processing charge is covered by the membership, and no further charge is payable. In the case of authors whose institutions are Supporter Members, however, a discounted article-processing charge is payable by the author. We routinely waive charges for authors from low-income countries. For other countries, article-processing charge waivers or discounts are granted on a case-by-case basis to authors with insufficient funds. Authors can request a waiver or discount during the submission process. For further details, see our article-processing charge page.

Members of EOS can get a discount on the article-processing charge (APC) when submitting to JEOS:RP.

Photoniques Magazine

Photoniques is the magazine of the French Optical Society (SFO). The editor-in-chief is Prof. Dr. Riad Haidar, researcher at ONERA the French aerospace lab, professor at Ecole Polytechnique ParisTech, and also a member of the SFO Execom. The editorial board is composed of volunteer members of SFO, coming from the academic or industrial communities. By choosing the thematic dossiers and authors, the board aims at giving the most accurate and up-to-date snapshot of photonic solutions and research. More information here.

In april 2017, Photoniques edited a special EOS issue in English. It is addressed to the whole photonics community throughout the 21 countries involved in the European Optical Society (EOS). This special English issue combines technical marketing, historic and R&D articles on photonics, as well as a technical back-to-basics paper and a buyer’s guide. Again in April 2018, this special issue was again published as co-operation with SFO.
